Gwadar: The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) organized an informative Training Workshop on the Export Development Fund (EDF) at the Gwadar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI).

The session was attended by GCCI President Jeehund Hoth, Secretary General Khalid Saif, Vice President Naeem Rasheed, renowned businessman Haji Abdul Basit, Nagman Abdul, and several other prominent members of the local business community.

President Jeehund Hoth highlighted the importance of such workshops in empowering Gwadar’s business sector. He reaffirmed GCCI’s commitment, with TDAP’s support, to promote local products—especially Gwadar’s fish industry—at national and international expos.

“Our fish industry has great potential, and we are working to showcase it across the globe,” he stated.

He also announced plans to organize special programs in Punjab to raise awareness about the benefits and uses of fish, aiming to boost domestic demand and create more opportunities for Gwadar’s fishermen and traders.

Other speakers, including Khalid Saif, Naeem Rasheed, and Haji Abdul Basit, praised TDAP’s initiative and emphasized the need to connect Gwadar’s industries with national and global markets. They added that the EDF scheme would greatly help local businesses strengthen their export capabilities.

Participants appreciated the workshop as a positive step toward Gwadar’s economic growth, urging for more such initiatives in the future.
