A high-level jirga was held during the visit of Mir Sarfraz Bugti to Gwadar, where key economic and trade matters were discussed with local stakeholders.

On this occasion, Jeehund Hoth, President, Gwadar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), presented a strategic proposal focusing on the activation of Gwadar Port and Gabd (250) Rimdan Border corridor. He highlighted the importance of facilitating transit and transshipment trade between Pakistan, Iran, and Central Asian states.

The proposal emphasized two-way trade (forward and reverse flow), which will significantly increase port activity, create new business opportunities, and generate large-scale employment in the region as well as across Pakistan.

The initiative, if supported at the policy level, is expected to position Gwadar as a key regional trade hub and contribute substantially to national economic growth.
