Brigadier Muhammad Abid (Retired), Director of Border Terminals, and Colonel Assad Ahmad, General Manager of Border Terminals Balochistan, visited the Gwadar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. Their objective was to foster stronger economic ties and cooperation between different sectors.
Warmly welcomed by GCCI President Mr. Shams Ul Haq Kalmati, the visit saw the participation of prominent local figures including traders Mir Rashid Kalmati, Ghafoor Hoth, and Jheund Hoth. Former GCCI presidents Nagman and Haji Abdul Basit, as well as Haji Ghulam Muhammad and Haji Fida Hussain Dasthi, former president of the Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry, were also present.
This event highlighted the collaboration between sectors, acknowledging Gwadar's strategic trade importance. Conversations revolved around mutual development and cooperation, emphasizing the connection between security and economic growth.
