Consul General Yang Yundong Meets Fishing Delegation from Balochistan Province

Karachi, November 1, 2025

On November 1, 2025, Consul General of China in Karachi, Mr. Yang Yundong, met with the fishing delegation from Balochistan Province, who had recently returned from a visit to Guangdong Province, accompanied by Counsellor Li Yong.

Consul General Yang congratulated the delegation on the successful completion of their visit to China. He listened attentively to their opinions on future cooperation in the fisheries and related sectors and expressed that China is willing to strengthen pragmatic cooperation with Pakistan in these fields to support the development of local industries and improve the living standards of the people in Balochistan.

The Pakistani delegation shared their experiences and impressions from their visit, highly appreciating China’s rapid economic and social progress. They expressed their intention to learn from China’s modern fishery production technologies and industrial management models to promote the growth of Pakistan’s fisheries sector, particularly in Gwadar and surrounding coastal areas, thereby improving the livelihoods of local fishermen.

Mr. Jeehund Hoth, President of the Gwadar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) and head of the delegation, expressed sincere appreciation to Consul General Yang Yundong and the Chinese Consulate in Karachi for their warm hospitality and continued support in enhancing cooperation between China and Pakistan in the fisheries sector.
