Delegation Visit to New Gwadar International Airport (NGIAP) Date: 5th November 2024.

The Gwadar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) visited the New Gwadar International Airport (NGIAP) on 5th November 2024. The delegation reviewed the progress of this flagship CPEC project, which is expected to start operations on 20th December 2024 (tentatively).

NGIAP is designed for international flights and cargo and is expected to improve Gwadar connectivity, trade, and tourism. During the visit, officials highlighted its modern facilities and potential to boost economic growth.

The delegation discussed ways to involve local businesses in airport operations and emphasized ensuring benefits for local entrepreneurs. GCCI and NGIAP management agreed to work together to support Gwadar development and make the most of the opportunities from NGIAP’s operationalization
