Federal Minister Junaid Anwar Chaudhry Meets Gwadar Fish Industry and GCCI Representatives

Gwadar, July 16, 2025 – Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Mr. Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, held an important meeting with representatives of the Gwadar fish industry and the Gwadar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) to address key challenges facing the sector.

The discussion focused on issues related to electricity and water supply in industrial zones. The Minister assured full government support for the development of the fisheries sector and emphasized Gwadar strategic importance to the national economy.

He encouraged local investors to form consortia and develop joint venture models to strengthen the industry. “Industrial growth in Gwadar depends on active local participation and transparency,” he stated.

Mr. Junaid Anwar Chaudhry also directed that a follow-up meeting with national fisheries investors be held in Karachi within two days to explore further initiatives.

GCCI appreciated the Minister commitment and reaffirmed its support for sustainable industrial development in Gwadar.
