GCCI Chairman Meets Tajikistan Ambassador to Enhance Trade and Cooperation
Islamabad – The Gwadar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) Group Chairman, Mir Naveed Jan Baloch, met with the Ambassador of Tajikistan in Pakistan to discuss strengthening trade, industrial collaboration, and educational exchanges between the two countries.
The Ambassador of Tajikistan expressed interest in importing goods through Gwadar Port to Tajikistan and proposed establishing joint ventures in industries to expand bilateral cooperation. He also highlighted the importance of offering scholarships for students to further strengthen people-to-people ties.
During the meeting, both sides also discussed the potential of Gwadar’s fish industry, with opportunities for seafood exports and processing facilities that could serve markets in Tajikistan and Central Asia.
Mir Naveed Jan Baloch welcomed these initiatives and thanked the Ambassador for his vision of closer cooperation. He assured full support from GCCI and proposed the regular exchange of business delegations to promote trade and investment opportunities between Pakistan and Tajikistan.
On behalf of GCCI, President Jeehund Hoth warmly welcomed the proposals and reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment to facilitating stronger partnerships and positioning Gwadar as a key trade hub for Central Asia.
