GCCI President Jeehund Hoth Meets Oman Consul General to Strengthen Gwadar–Oman Trade and Connectivity

Karachi, 13 September 2026:

President of the Gwadar Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI), Jeehund Hoth, held an important meeting with Eng. Sami Abdullah Al Khanjari, Consul General of the Sultanate of Oman in Karachi and Dean of the Consular Corps in Karachi.

The meeting focused on strengthening economic and trade relations between Gwadar and Oman, with particular emphasis on establishing direct connectivity between Gwadar Port and Omani ports, improving air connectivity, and expanding business-to-business linkages.

During the meeting, GCCI President Jeehund Hoth invited an Omani business delegation to visit Gwadar and explore the city’s growing investment, trade and business opportunities.

The Consul General welcomed the proposal and expressed his interest in visiting Gwadar, acknowledging the city’s developing business environment and emerging economic potential.

Both sides highlighted the importance of stronger connectivity and commercial cooperation between Gwadar and Oman, which could contribute to increased trade, investment, tourism and regional economic growth.

The meeting was described as a positive step towards developing stronger and mutually beneficial economic ties between Gwadar and the Sultanate of Oman, while further strengthening the longstanding friendly relations between Pakistan and Oman.
