A high-level delegation of the Gwadar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), led by President Jeehand Hoth, successfully visited Indonesia on October 16, 2025, where an important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with the International Creatives Exchange (ICE).
The delegation included General Secretary Khalid Saif, Senior Vice President Naeem Rasheed & Masood Hoth. The MoU aims to enhance bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Indonesia in trade, investment, information technology, tourism, maritime industries, and fisheries.
Under the agreement, GCCI will facilitate Indonesian investors to explore opportunities in the Gwadar Free Zone, including logistics, fisheries, infrastructure, and IT sectors. Meanwhile, ICE will organize professional training programs in Indonesia for Pakistani entrepreneurs and youth focused on business management, port operations, and modern technology.
Both organizations agreed to initiate joint efforts to promote tourism, cultural exchange, and marine industry collaboration, including seafood processing, cold storage, exports, and IT-based business connectivity.
Speaking on the occasion, President Jeehand Hoth said:
“This visit marks a new chapter in economic relations between Gwadar and Indonesia. Our mission is to promote sustainable development and strengthen global cooperation. Gwadar is not just a port—it’s a game changer for the world.”
The Gwadar Chamber continues to play a leading role in promoting Gwadar’s positive image and expanding international trade relations.
