A high-level meeting held in Islamabad agreed in principle to declare Gwadar a Special Economic District (GSED). Formal approval will be given by the federal cabinet. According to details, a high-level meeting was held in Islamabad to declare Gwadar as Special Economic District on the proposal of Gwadar Development Authority, Gwadar Industrial Estate development Authority. the meeting organized by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and Ministry of Planning Commission, in addition to the federal and provincial secretaries, Director General GDA Mujeeb ur Rehman Qambrani, Chairman Gwadar Port Authority Passand Khan Buledi, MD GIEDA Waqas Ahmed Lassi, Mahmood Yaqub Advisor GIEDA, Affan Qureshi Convener Abad Gwadar Chapter, President Gwadar Chamber of Commerce Shams ul Haq Kalmati and others participated In the meeting, the proposal to declare Gwadar Special Economic District by Gwadar Development Authority, Gwadar Port Authority, Gwadar Industrial Estate Authority and it was reviewed in detail Abad. the steps and progress was taken by the provincial government. Along with this, a presentation on GSED was presented  by Managing Director GIEDA it was decided in principles to declare Gwadar as Special Economic District. And it was high lighted, the final approval will be obtained from the federal cabinet after reviewing legal and technical aspects in this regard. It should be noted that to declare Gwadar as Special Economic District, Gwadar Development Authority, Gwadar Port Authority, Gwadar Industrial Estate Authority and Abad submitted a proposal to the provincial government this year, which was approved by the provincial government and sent to the federal government for further action. . After Gwadar Special Economic District is declared, business activities will start here and it will become the biggest business center of the region and thousands of business and employments opportunities will be created and this city will develop.
