Gwadar: Women Development Department Delegation Meets GCCI President

A delegation from the Women Development Department held an important meeting with President of the Gwadar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), Jeehund Hoth, to discuss the role of women in business, economic empowerment, and the positive impact of establishing a Women Market in Gwadar.

During the meeting, the delegation expressed gratitude to the Chamber for its strong support in the establishment of the Women Market. It was highlighted that the Chamber has also installed a 7KV solar system for the market, which will help address energy challenges and provide a stable and supportive environment for women entrepreneurs.

President Jeehund Hoth emphasized that in today’s era, the role of women in business has become extremely important. He stated that the women of Gwadar are talented, and if provided with the right platform, they can strengthen not only their families but also the overall economy of the city. He assured that the Chamber of Commerce will continue to extend full support for the promotion of women entrepreneurship and their economic independence.

While discussing the Women Market, it was noted that this initiative will make shopping easier for women, as both vendors and customers will be women. This will ensure a safe and trustworthy environment while also providing women with opportunities to run businesses, showcase their products, and earn directly.

The delegation from the Women Development Department appreciated the efforts of the GCCI President, stating that such initiatives play a vital role in empowering women, boosting their confidence, and making them economically stable.

The meeting was also attended by Khalid Saif, Secretary General of Gwadar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment to enhancing business opportunities for women.
